Lecture on Practical Sharing of Bilingual Living Teaching by Current Teacher 林筱珊 from Shuangyong Elementary School
OMG, there's only one seat left in the seminar venue!
Congratulations to our school's Bilingual Center for successfully completing the "Full House" Bilingual Life Skills Enhancement Seminar for March.
【Seminar Information】
Speaker: Teacher 林筱珊- Current teacher at Taipei Shuangyong Elementary School
Seminar Content: Sharing Practical Experiences in Bilingual Life Skills Teaching
【Notes】
Teacher 筱珊 shared insights from the perspective of a subject teacher. The outline of the seminar roughly divided into four key points: Classroom Management, Lesson Planning, Curriculum Design, and Teaching Resource Sharing.
In terms of Classroom Management, the speaker discussed the challenges and factors teachers need to consider in managing classrooms, as well as practical experiences in handling and managing them.
Regarding Lesson Planning, the speaker suggested first determining how many bilingual life skills classes there are in a week, then discussing with mentors to allocate themes or content, particularly emphasizing the discussion of themes as it relates to grading.
In Curriculum Design, besides sharing her own teaching content, the speaker also discussed factors teachers consider before teaching, including the priority of teaching, with the focus on the curriculum, followed by teaching activities, and finally language. When it comes to language teaching, the speaker shared practices such as using body language as assistance and rephrasing in English when students respond in Chinese. Furthermore, the speaker demonstrated a life skills lesson in a classroom setting, explaining the preparation beforehand and conducting live teaching. Through the presentation of slides, such as providing valuable footage from teaching scenes as assistance, the audience could gain a more concrete understanding and grasp teaching details clearly.
Regarding Teaching Resource Sharing, the teacher listed the organization of Online Resources, providing teacher trainees with resources for future lesson planning and teaching applications, and providing constructive feedback during the Q&A session.
Finally, after summarizing the key points, the speaker concluded with a perfect ending.
